Tysie Gallagher, Britain's first female super-bantam champion, and more added to Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper bill

Tysie Gallagher, Britain's first female super-bantamweight champion, IBF No 1 Elizabeth Oshoba and former WBA titlist Shannon Courtenay will box on the Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper undercard.

Dubois and Harper meet in a world lightweight title unification, alongside Ellie Scotney's shot at the undisputed world championship against Mayelli Flores, live on Your Site on Sunday April 5.

Former top GB boxer Gemma Richardson will be in action on the show at London's Olympia and Ilford's popular Arjon Basi is also set to appear on the preliminary undercard.

Luton's Tysie "The First Lady" Gallagher will fight Finland's unbeaten Teresa Makinen.

Gallagher began boxing at age 10 and finished her amateur career with 35 bouts, winning two national titles, twice reaching ABA Senior Elite finals, and representing England internationally.

After turning pro, she made history as the first-ever female British super-bantamweight champion and has also contested for the WBO world title in November 2023.

Outside the ring, she is a proud mother to her seven-year-old daughter.

"I'm looking forward to my MVP debut on a fantastic bill in London," Gallagher said. "I'm ready to impress and show why I believe that I'm the number one super-bantamweight in the world!"

At just 21 years old, Makinen has compiled an impressive 86 amateur bouts and established herself as one of the most decorated Scandinavian female amateur boxers, fighting out of Espoo, Finland. A multiple-time national champion, she earned gold medals at the GeeBee Tournament, Tammer Tournament, Golden Girl Tournament, and Youth Boxam Tournament, building a standout international résumé at a young age.

"Being part of MVP's first UK show is a big step for me and I am very grateful to them," Makinen said. "I respect Tysie Gallagher and what she's achieved, but I'm coming to perform at my highest level. I stay calm, I stay disciplined, and on Sunday, April 5 I will show that I'm ready for the next stage - which is title contention."

Elizabeth Temitayo Oshoba fights out of Bristol, England via Sango Ota, Nigeria. As an amateur, she was a six time Nigerian national amateur champion and won bronze at the 2019 All African Games, gold at the 2020 African Zone 3 Championships, and silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Oshoba relocated to the UK to make her pro debut in September 2022.

"Every fight is a chance to prove who I am. I've sacrificed, I've trained, and I'm locked in," Oshoba said. "Come fight night, I'm bringing skill, heart, and power and I'm leaving no doubt. Big thank you to MVP, Jake Paul, and Nakisa Bidarian for this opportunity."

Oshoba will take on Chelsey Arnell over six three-minute rounds, the same distance as in men's boxing.

Arnell, a 35-year-old professional boxer from Hull, with a 5-2-1 record, has challenged for both the Central Area title and the English title so far in her pro career. She said: "I'm really looking forward to boxing three-minute rounds, which will suit my style of boxing much better rather than just rushing through the two-minute rounds. I'm really grateful for this opportunity and look forward to taking it with both hands."

Shannon Courtenay takes on Nottingham's Sasha Booker in an eight-round super-flyweight bout.

Courtenay made her pro debut in March 2019 and claimed the vacant WBA bantamweight title in April 2021.

"I'm excited to be fighting at home in London and even more excited to be back on Your Site where it all started for me!" Courtenay said. "All my knockouts and my world title win happened on Your Site so it feels like a good omen to be back where I was at my best."

Her opponent Booker declared: "I'm ready to mix it up with the big names in the sport and showcase the dedication that has brought me this far. My journey is just beginning, and I'm excited to see where my hard work will lead me next."

Gemma Richardson is a rising British professional boxer who built her reputation through years of elite-level success in the amateur ranks.

A decorated amateur, Richardson's pedigree includes a Commonwealth Games silver Medal, European and World Youth titles, and numerous National Championships, achievements that underline both her talent and her ability to perform on major stages.

Since turning pro, she has wasted no time accelerating her career and now looks to prove herself against Czech boxer Johana Rochl in a six-round lightweight bout.

"This opportunity could change my career massively," Richardson said. "As the saying goes, pressure is a privilege, and this pressure is good pressure. This is such a big platform to be on, and MVP is the place to be now for female boxers. This is exactly where I want to be."

As well as the co-main events of Dubois vs Harper and Scotney vs Flores, on the televised bill Chantelle Cameron fights Michaela Kotaskova for the vacant WBO super-welterweight championship and Emma Dolan steps up to challenge Irma Garcia for the IBF super-flyweight world title.

"Our first UK event is stacked with four world title fights and eight belts at stake, delivering a historic night for women's boxing in Britain on Sunday, April 5," said MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian.

"Shannon Courtenay returns to fight in front of her home fans, Elizabeth Oshoba is positioned to announce herself as a future world champion in her MVP debut, and Tysie Gallagher is determined to show she's ready for the biggest fights in the division. It all builds toward an incredible double main event live on Your Site."

Watch Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper live on Your Site on Sunday April 5.
